HOMESTUCK: EARTH C (30 YEARS LATER)

Setting:
It's just Earth C.

...Earth C is a planet modeled after our own, with wildlife and architecture imported from or inspired by a variety of worlds (our Earth, Alternia, & miscellaneous Sburbian planets). Its residents include humans, trolls, consorts, and (occasionally) carapacians.

Story:
After trapping herself in a single-player void session for several years, Lela uses her god-tier abilities to "destroy the void" and escape the session. She ends up on earth C. Everyone now has to figure out what happens when the void is destroyed, and what that means for canon.

Notice:
Please do not include headcanons for the canon characters, as I don't want to have to include a bunch of contingencies in these notes. Their fanon appearance & personality will be noted by me in this document. Thank you.

Taye Strider

Info:

• 14 y/o human
• male (he/him)
• cisgender + biromantic

Design notes:

• Taye is roughly 5'6".
• His hair is swept forwards and up.
• The symbol on his shirt is a square brackets symbol, like this: [ ]
• His expressions are generally muted unless he's surprised or caught off-guard. he almost never smiles or cries in public.

backstory:

• Taye was born to the Brackens family as an only child. Most of his later childhood was spent in an abusive environment, of which he was eventually taken out of by CPS. He got placed into foster care, and was later adopted by his current family.
• At this point of the story, Taye is your average 9th grader, in that he goes to high school (the similarities end there). He has no friends, either online or offline, and spends his free time lurking in internet communities he's too afraid to talk in.

Personality:

• Taye is a Knight of Void, which roughly means that he hides himself behind a mask of the unknown.
• To him, information is power, and he doesn't tell others about himself unless absolutely necessary.
• He's extremely anxious, both socially and in general. In any given moment, he's probably fighting his internal demons (intrusive thoughts & cortisol).
• He's usually quiet because he likes to stay safe and unknown. He won't initiate conversations with people, and mostly responds out of politeness.
• He's desperate for connection, but not desperate enough to walk into (hypothetical, imagined) harm.
• He's probably autistic...
• Hobbies: doomscrolling, niche music (both listening & creating), a special interest in computer science

Lela Velazquez

Info:

• female (she/her)

Design notes:

• Lela is roughly 5'9".
• Her sunglasses help her with light sensitivity issues, and she can't see well without them.
• Her hair is dense & fluffy! It's somewhere in between wavy & curly.
• The heart ahoge is optional, but highly prefered if you have an unrealistic/cartoony art style like me!
• Her expressions *look* fake & acted out, even though they usually aren't.

Backstory:

• Lela grew up in New Hampshire, her only family being her generally absent, working parents.
• In high school, she had an... uncertain circle of friends that she hung out with. She, like most high schoolers, was a gamer. She invites her friends to play "Sburb" one day. They blew her off. She played alone, ending up in a dead session. She doomed her whole world. She doomed herself.
• At first, she was unable to progress, trapped on the planet she killed. After managing to godtier, she started fucking around with her powers and managed to "escape" her session, ending up in various other sessions with time (most of them dead).
• After years of traversing the Medium alone, she ended up on Earth C - a planet with actual life and people who might be able to help.

Personality:

• Lela is a Bard of Void. This does not have much to do with her personality, because frankly, she's written more like a Bard of *Light* - she "destroys" (disproves) narratives through a lack of information & connections. She is... confusing, to say the least; if you get anything out of these paragraphs, it should probably be that (and the blatant disregard - that too).
• She is often unpredictable to outsiders - the only thing people really expect of her is inconsistency. She does whatever she believes will get the correct reactions - she'll be the "class clown", spread a bunch of rumors about some guy she's never met, or unexpectedly win some local contest on a topic she never seemed interested in. The thing is, these are all *one-day phenomenons* that she drops once she gets what she wants out of them.
• No one really *knows* her, and she is pretty mum about private matters. She doesn't have any loyalty to people (or communities), and is often two-faced, lying, manipulative, etc., as long as she can justify it to herself. "It was just a white lie!" "I was probably just stressed when I did that." "It's not like I could have done anything else, right?"
• ...And, like, none of this is "on purpose", this is just how she is!! She has a massive lack of self-awareness, and has a very difficult time differentiating between "bad publicity" and "good publicity". She doesn't really believe others when they criticize her, and is happy believing her own interpretation of her self-image.
• This is more of a quirk than a personality trait, but she is terrible at making a good argument or telling a complete story...
• The roughly 3 years she spent alone on her dying planet have given her a new outlook, one that is even less personable & forgiving than when she was a teenager. She can be extremely nihilistic and short-sighted, doing things that are highly regrettable and then brushing them off like she did nothing wrong. She is also irritable at times and can suddenly lose motivation.
• Hobbies: gaslighting, Sburb survival/combat, urban exploration (more of a habit than a hobby)

ok i want mostly the story focus to be about taye and lela. Also the other fankids should... exist, GAWD HOW GCOULD I GFORGET g. Basically themes of irrelevance/canonicity like always. and psycology idk lol

so far i think we have the green one and purple one in regard to fankid. "Kate" and "Kris", kris is a stupdi name jsyk. oh he looks like a kris. also "Joan" exists shes janes kid but who??? huh???? more troll fankids btw, convert a fucker dude!

uhhhhhhhhh. ok dirk storyline. dirk sees the guy (me) pushing gamzee fridge into the void so he dies forever. and then is like "hey who was that what is going on" and wont leave his mind. eventually goes on a quest and disapears one day without telling anyone, terezi might go with him due to lack of purpose, but why does she have a lack of purpose?

Canonicity investigatoion team. They determine that everything is pointless since they entered noncanon a long time ago. They have no control over their life it seems, some random fuckhead took over their lifves, is meaning/emotion still the same if thats the case?. Cliffhanger endin g oooooh
